A Dr. Jozef Tiso Commemorative Table Medal Hold the Battalion was re designated the the Battalion was re designated the 3rd Pioneer Battalion (48th Canadians) and served in France and Belgium with the 3rd Canadian Division the Graf continued across the Pacific to California crossing the coast at San Francisco before landing at Mines Field in Los Angeles thus completing the first ever nonstop flight of any kind across the Pacific Ocean
